Two people are facing multiple charges following a September incident in which a man was reportedly seen waving a firearm from a vehicle on Armour Hill. No one was injured.
Officers were called to the area around 8:20 p.m. on September 21. The vehicle initially fled the scene, but through investigation, a suspect was identified. On Monday, September 29, the Emergency Response Team and Drug Unit executed a search warrant at a Peterborough residence.
Two people were taken into custody and officers seized a handgun and 10.4 grams of cocaine.
Riley Pigeon, 21, of Peterborough, was arrested on the strength of a warrant and faces multiple firearm and drug-related charges, including unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. Pigeon is bound by both a firearm prohibition order and a probation order.
Jaidyn VanAllen, 22, of Peterborough, was also arrested and charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, careless storage of a firearm, and other firearm-related offences.
