The City of Peterborough is inviting residents to provide feedback on planned improvements at the intersection of Fairbairn Street and Towerhill Road / Lily Lake Road.
The project aims to improve vehicle flow, pedestrian safety, and cycling accessibility. Plans include installing traffic signals, adding dedicated turn lanes, updating roadway geometry, and creating an off-street multi-use trail along Lily Lake Road from York Drive to the intersection.
Residents can review project details and submit questions or comments online at the City’s community engagement hub: connectptbo.ca/fairbairn-towerhill.
The project will be completed in multiple phases, pending funding approvals:
-
Phase 1 (2025): Preliminary design and utility coordination
-
Phase 2 (2026): Detailed design, property acquisitions, and utility relocations
-
Phase 3 (2027): Construction
Feedback will be reviewed by the project team and incorporated into plans where feasible. The consultation period closes on October 31.
