Carson Cameron returned to the Petes from the Florida Panthers camp with more than just a warm welcome, he was handed his jersey with a “C” stitched on the front, being named the 64th captain of the Peterborough Petes.
Cameron is joined on the Petes 2025-26 leadership team by Braydon McCallum and Colin FItzgerald, who will wear A’s at home, as well as Aiden Young and James Petrovski, who will wear A’s on the road.
The Bobcaygeon native is now in his third year with the team, and says “It’s a big deal to be named Captain of an organization like the Petes. It’s something that I will take full advantage of moving into this year with the guys. The last couple of years have been tough, but it’s time to start playing some winning hockey. I’m going to give everything I have this season, and I expect nothing less from anyone else on this team.”
General Manager Mike Oke says “Carson has proven to be someone that our players respect both on and off the ice over his two years with the team and we’re very confident in his leadership moving forward.”
