All Peterborough Transit routes will resume arrivals and departures at the downtown Transit Terminal with upgrades to the bus bay area now complete.
City officials say Transit Ambassadors will be on site to help riders navigate the changes during the transition.
The following routes will once again depart from assigned bays inside the terminal:
Route 2 Chemong southbound (Terminal to Lansdowne Place) will use Bay 3
Route 2 Chemong northbound (Terminal to Trent University – Bata Library) will use Bay 4
Route 4 Weller eastbound (Terminal to Peterborough Museum) will use Bay 1
Route 5 Parkway (Terminal to Fleming College) will use Bay 2
Route 6 Sherbrooke eastbound (Terminal to Trent University – Bata Library) will use Bay 1
Route 23 Red Community Bus will use Bay 2
Three street-side boarding stops along Simcoe Street, which were activated last week, will continue to be used. Riders for Route 11 Water, Route 10 Technology, Route 12 Otonabee, Community Bus 22, Route 4 Weller westbound and Route 6 Sherbrooke westbound will need to board at these stops.
The city says buses at the Simcoe Street stops will pull up to the next available position for passenger pickup instead of stopping at fixed bays. Riders are encouraged to check the bus number displayed on the front of the vehicle before boarding.
