The Peterborough Petes held their annual season ticket member BBQ last night, with hundreds of fans lining up for a chance to meet the players from this year’s roster.
Attendees enjoyed a meal from Chemong Lodge while hearing remarks from Petes GM Mike Oke and Head Coach Rob Wilson. After dinner, fans were able to get autographs from the team and mingle with members of the organization.
The Petes will kick off the 2025-26 season tomorrow night when they host the Brampton Steelheads.
The Lakefield Chiefs began their new season last night, playing to a 4-4 tie with Amherstview. The team also unveiled its leadership group, which includes Will Corcoran as team captain.
The Chiefs travel to Port Hope on Saturday to take on the Panthers.
And the Lindsay Muskies played their home opener last night, beating Oakville 5-3. AJ Rai led the offense with a hat trick, while Noah Kraus picked up the win in net. The Muskies are right back at it tonight when they travel to Niagara Falls to face the Canucks.
