The Peterborough Museum and Archives (PMA) is celebrating the completion of its 2025 summer camp season, made possible through funding from Canada Summer Jobs and Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations.
“This vital support allowed the PMA to hire energetic and passionate young staff who played a crucial role in delivering a safe, fun and meaningful camp experience for children and youth,” the museum said in a release.
“The funding we received through the Canada Summer Jobs and Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations made a tremendous difference,” said Museum Education Officer Faryn Stanley. “It allowed us to recruit talented young leaders, enhance our programming and ensure accessibility for families in our community.”
The federal programs provided opportunities for youth employment and skill-building, helping the museum meet staffing needs while giving young people valuable experience in leadership, teamwork and community service.
The PMA extended its thanks to the Government of Canada, Canada Summer Jobs and Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations for their continued support of youth and community development.
