The Township of Cavan Monaghan is asking Millbrook residents to limit water use to essential needs, such as flushing toilets, following a water main break that has left taps running with untreated, unsafe water. A boil water advisory remains in effect, with details available from the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit.
Officials say it may take several days to fully restore the system. In the meantime, a potable water truck is available at the Cavan Monaghan Community Centre for residents to fill water jugs free of charge.
Crews are working around the clock to repair the system. Updates will be posted on the township website at cavanmonaghan.net and on township social media channels.
