City of Kawartha Lakes OPP have arrested and charged a 21-year-old in connection with a suspicious death in Kirkfield.
Just after 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, officers were called to a residence on Richmond Street West where a deceased person was located.
As a result of the investigation, Samuel Connors of Woodville has been charged with second-degree murder under section 231 of the Criminal Code.
Officials say the identity of the victim is not being released at this time.
The investigation is being led by the OPP City of Kawartha Lakes Crime Unit under the direction of the Criminal Investigation Branch, with support from the Office of the Chief Coroner, the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, and the OPP Central Region Emergency Response Team.
