The ingaugural lemonade stand day organized by the Kiwanis Club of Scott’s Plains is now in the rearview mirror.
PTBOToday.ca caught up with Kiwanis member Greg McLeod during Saturday’s event.
The event raised funds for Riverview Park and Zoo using a model developed in Edmonton. The Kiwanis Club organizes the initiative, providing families with supplies to set up lemonade stands across the community. Each stand sells lemonade, with all proceeds going directly to support Riverview’s operation. This year’s event had over fifty vendors sign up to take part.
We are still waiting on fundraising totals from the organizing team.
