A 39-year-old Peterborough man is facing drug and property-related charges following an arrest Thursday evening in the city’s downtown.
Peterborough Police say officers on general patrol were alerted to suspicious activity around 6:45 p.m. in the area of Brock and Bethune Streets. Upon arrival, they located a man on a property and took him into custody.
A search led to the seizure of one gram of fentanyl, two grams of unidentified pills, drug paraphernalia, and several bank cards not in the man’s name.
The accused is charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court September 9th.
