With the news Kawartha Ribfest is going to happen in August, organizers are gearing up for what they believe will be a memorable occasion.
After the Rotary Club of Peterborough Kawartha stepped away, Dennis Nephin of Brand Connect is heading things up.
Nephin says while food is the main attraction, there is a lot more to this event than just cooking.
Nephin says events like this bring community together but also have a big economic impact.
A switch in 2025 is the fact the festival will be held in Del Crary Park and not Millennium Park. Nephin explains why.
Kawartha Ribfest will be at Del Crary Park from August 22nd to the 24th and Nephin says visitors can expect top-tier BBQ, a family zone, an expanded vendor market, and the return of The Hootenanny.
