When you’ve been in business for 50 years, it’s a pretty safe assumption that you’ve done, and are still doing, something right.
But according to Alf Curtis Home Improvements president Brent Perry, the business his grandparents started a half century ago continues to hit the right notes on a number of fronts, both in terms of the quality of its work and products, and its commitment to customer satisfaction.
This Friday (July 4) will see Alf Curtis host a grand celebration of 50 years in business at its Parkhill Road East location. Along with a barbecue lunch starting at 10 a.m., a meet-and-greet with former NHL referee Don Koharski and giveaways, there’ll be draws for a $1,000 gift certificate, two barbecues and a Peterborough Lakers jersey.
Perry says the milestone offers the opportunity to reflect on the journey to this point, specifically the tone that was set early on by his grandfather.
Perry says dealing with a family-owned business that has a long history of success remains a very attractive pull for consumers.
Perry notes that while the celebration is a way of thanking customers, it also serves as an appreciation of what he terms “one big family.”
