Two men have been charged following a break-and-enter and assault incident in Peterborough on Tuesday morning.
Just before noon on Tuesday, police were called to Monaghan Road and Cameron Street after reports of a man chasing another with a baseball bat.
Investigators learned that the incident began when a man broke into a home and was chased out by the resident, who struck him several times with the bat.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old Whitby man, charging him with assault causing bodily harm, while a 43-year-old Peterborough man was charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence.
