Campbellford Memorial Hospital has unveiled a sweeping new strategic plan designed to transform how health care is delivered in the region through 2030 and beyond.
Announced earlier this week, the plan lays out a bold vision focused on enhancing care quality, creating a stronger and more inclusive workplace, and expanding what’s possible in rural medicine — all while continuing the push toward a new hospital facility within an integrated Campus of Care.
“This is about more than bricks and mortar,” said Jeff Hohenkerk, President and CEO of CMH. “It’s a symbol of progress and possibility. Our Best. Every Day. isn’t just a tagline, it’s our commitment to each other, our patients, and our community.”
Developed through months of extensive engagement with hospital staff, physicians, health-care leaders and local partners, the strategy is grounded in CMH’s core values and built around four key directions: Modernizing service delivery to continuously improve outcomes; Advancing the workplace through inclusivity, connection, well-being and growth; Pushing the boundaries of rural care; Building for tomorrow.
CMH says the plan responds directly to the evolving needs of patients, staff and the broader community. It aims to position the hospital as a leader in rural health innovation, with a people-focused approach that goes beyond infrastructure to include improvements in services, culture and long-term sustainability.
In addition to outlining its strategic goals, CMH also revealed a refreshed logo and brand promise that reflect the hospital’s renewed sense of purpose and forward momentum. The new logo, inspired by the agricultural beauty of the region, features a rising sun over rolling green hills — symbolizing a new day in local health care, renewed hope for the future hospital, and an enduring connection to the people and places CMH serves.
At the heart of the updated branding is a simple but powerful promise: Our Best. Every Day. CMH says the phrase captures the quality of care patients, families and community members can expect at every point of contact — care that is compassionate, skilled and unwavering in its pursuit of excellence.
“We’re very excited to launch our new strategic plan and branding,” Hohenkerk said. “It reflects not just where we are today, but where we’re going — toward a stronger, more connected, and more innovative future in rural health care.”
The hospital says it will continue to engage with the community as it moves forward with implementing the plan and working toward a modernized Campus of Care that meets the long-term health needs of the region.
