County Road 503 near Kinmount was closed this morning after a commercial vehicle left the roadway and struck a rock-cut, catching fire.
Peterborough County OPP say the crash happened around 7:30 am. The truck was carrying oxygen bottles, prompting firefighters to be called as a precaution. When emergency crews arrived, the vehicle was on fire.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but the vehicle was destroyed. No injuries were reported.
One lane of County Road 503 has since reopened. Officials say the road will be fully closed again temporarily while the wreck is removed.
