The City of Peterborough is inviting community members to review and provide feedback on the proposed design for the Television Road Bridge Replacement Project at a public open house later this month.
The session will take place on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the main lobby of City Hall at 500 George Street North. Attendees will have the opportunity to view updated design displays and speak directly with members of the project team, who will be available to answer questions and receive public input.
The Television Road Bridge, which spans Meade Creek, is scheduled for replacement due to its aging structure. The project will also accommodate surrounding roadworks and potential future infrastructure upgrades. Design work is currently underway, with construction expected to begin in 2026.
Engineering firm Jewell Engineering is leading the consultant-driven project, which builds upon the findings of the Television Road Bridge Replacement Environmental Study Report, completed in late 2023. The updated design incorporates newly adopted national and provincial transportation standards, along with guidance from recently approved municipal planning documents.
Residents who are unable to attend the open house or who require accommodations to access the commenting process can contact the City’s project manager at lcoulson@peterborough.ca.
More information about the project is available online at: www.connectptbo.ca/TelevisionRoadBridge.
