A 54-year-old Peterborough woman is facing drug-related charges after a traffic stop in the city’s downtown early Tuesday morning.
Around 1:40am on June 10, an officer on general patrol pulled over a vehicle near Rubidge and Sherbrooke Streets. Police say the passenger was wanted on an outstanding warrant for previous driving offences and was taken into custody.
During a search following the arrest, officers seized a bag containing 120.4 grams of cocaine, 10 pills, and more than $900 in cash.
The woman is now charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and other drugs, as well as possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
