Ontario is on track for what could be a record-setting summer for tourism.
Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming Stan Cho says a new survey from Destination Ontario shows strong interest in local travel — with the vast majority of residents planning to stay close to home.
The province is backing that momentum with a fresh ad campaign called We Stand, designed to spotlight the diversity of experiences available across Ontario — from food and festivals to small towns and natural beauty.
Cho adds the message extends across the border, too. With renewed patriotism and ongoing concerns about U.S. tariffs on the minds of many Canadians, the minister says it’s important to also welcome American visitors.
Officials are optimistic the combination of strong local interest and international appeal will help fuel a standout tourism season from now through Labour Day.
