The Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation received a boost from the Omemee Swans this week with a $1,000 donation to support the spring appeal.
Representatives Darlene Hamilton and Joyce van den Broek visited the hospital on May 29 to present the gift. The spring appeal, themed “You can be Somebody’s Hero,” aims to raise funds for the hospital’s highest priority needs. These include expanding critical care in the Emergency Department and ICU, upgrading diagnostic imaging technology, and improving bedside equipment that provides vital clinical information in real time to care providers and patients alike.
Erin Coons, CEO of the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation, said, “We never know when we will need emergency or critical care at the hospital. Donations to the spring appeal will enhance care for everyone in Kawartha Lakes. Service clubs such as the Omemee Swans do so much for their communities. They provide support for local causes and they inspire others to help, too.”
The Omemee Swans are a volunteer non-profit group dedicated to raising funds for their community.
