Last fall’s Terry Fox Run saw local Catholic secondary school students get it done once again.
The annual fundraiser for the Terry Fox Foundation saw participation from students at St. Peter, Holy Cross, Holy Trinity and Saint Mary, with the result being $128,286.99 raised for the cancer research-funding foundation.
That result placed all four schools among the top 25 Ontario high schools.
Noting the Catholic community remains “inspired” by Fox’s courage and compassion, Catholic school board director says those values “mirror our commitment to social justice, solidarity and care for the vulnerable.”
This September’s Terry Fox School Run will coincide with the 45th anniversary of Fox’s Marathon of Hope.
