The Peterborough Sailing Club is inviting the public to experience the thrill of sailing during its annual Open House tomorrow (May 31) from 11 am to 2 pm.
Just 25 minutes north of the city on Clear Lake, the club will be offering free sailboat rides (weather permitting), facility tours, and a chance to connect with instructors and members. Snacks will also be available.
Organizers say the event is a great opportunity for anyone curious about sailing, whether you’re a complete beginner or have spent years on the water.
New this year, the club is launching a Youth Sailing Camp for ages 9 to 16, alongside its usual lineup of weekly skills sessions, race nights, and social events throughout the summer.
With a clubhouse, barbecue areas, and shared club boats, members say the club offers a relaxing cottage-style atmosphere focused on fun, learning, and community.
