With the full belief that every little step makes a big difference, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peterborough will host its first Little Big Run this summer.
Registration is now open for the July 12th fundraiser at Beavermead Park. To sign up for five-kilometre run/walk or the o family-friendly one-kilometre loop, visit zeffy.com/en-CA/ticketing/the-little-big-run. The entry cost for the former is $30; $15 for the shorter route.
Big Brothers Big Sisters executive Zoe King says the event will go a long way towards enabling the agency to continue and expand its good work.
King notes an event such as this removes some of the mystery around the work of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
While King and her colleagues are hopeful a fair amount of money is raised, she says the awareness boost has great value on its own.
