It was a historic opening of the 45th Parliament in Ottawa.
King Charles III delievered the Throne Speech yesterday in the House of Commons.
He said that every time he visits, “a little more of Canada seeps into my bloodstream — and from there straight to my heart.”
Peterborough MP Emma Harrison says being there for his speech was an incredible moment.
Harrison says it was great to hear support from the sovereign.
The King’s closing remarks – that “the true north is indeed, strong and free” were received with thunderous applause.
