While much has changed in Peterborough, family owned and operated Goodwin Metal Products has stayed true to exclusively sourcing Canadian steel and other components for its provided custom machining and machinery repair services.
Located at 298 Edinburgh Street, the business started in 1918 and today sees owner Terry Northey at the helm. His grandfather started work at the shop in 1919 and stayed on for a remarkable 72 years, with Terry coming on board in 1986.
Services offered include driveshaft repair, millwrighting, welding and fabricating, with repairs done to farm equipment, heavy machinery and industrial equipment.
The mission is unchanged – provide quality parts to loyal customers. Northey says “it just makes sense” to bring in Canadian-produced aluminum and steel.
