The Canadian Mental Health Association of Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge is now accepting nominations for its annual community awards and student bursary program.
Residents are invited to recognize individuals who have made a difference in local mental health, including volunteers, caregivers, advocates, and people with lived experience. Awards highlight contributions in areas like leadership, caregiving, and personal resilience, and honour those working to create more supportive and inclusive communities.
Submissions are also open for the Tam Grant Memorial Bursary, which provides up to $1,000 to students living with schizophrenia or other serious mental health conditions. Applicants must live in Peterborough, Northumberland, Kawartha Lakes, or Haliburton and be entering post-secondary studies this fall.
The deadline for both award nominations and bursary applications is 4:30 pm on June 23. Recipients will be recognized at CMHA HKPR’s annual meeting in September.
Nomination and application forms are available at cmhahkpr.ca.
