Ontario’s newly released 2025 budget includes major investments that MPP David Piccini says will have lasting impact on local healthcare and transportation in the region.
The Northumberland–Peterborough South representative says a key highlight is a planning grant for the long-discussed Campbellford Memorial Hospital and Campus of Care project.
The 48-acre site for the new campus is located on County Road 30. Piccini says this has been a collaborative effort involving many partners and supporters.
The budget also delivers savings for commuters, with the elimination of tolls on the 407 East from Brock Road to Highway 35/115.
The provincial plan also includes a $30-billion investment to build more schools and expand childcare spaces across Ontario.
