Two Peterborough men are facing charges after a shotgun went off during a home invasion in the city’s south end.
Police were called to a home near Park Street North and Wolfe Street just before midnight on Saturday. Officers say two men entered the residence, went into a bedroom, and pointed a shotgun at two people before the weapon discharged. No one was physically hurt, and the suspects fled the scene.
As part of the investigation, officers executed three search warrants on Thursday, seizing shotgun ammunition, two pellet guns, small amounts of cocaine, fentanyl, and psilocybin, along with counterfeit money.
An 18-year-old and a 19-year-old have been charged with robbery using a firearm, break and enter, pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and careless use of a firearm.
