The call is out to celebrate the best in local business. Nominations are now open for the 2025 Peterborough and the Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
Recognizing achievement, leadership, and innovation across all sectors, the annual awards highlight success stories from solo entrepreneurs to major employers in industries ranging from trades and retail to health care and tourism.
Seventeen categories are on the table this year, including Business Citizen of the Year and the 4-Under-40 Profiles, presented in memory of Kathy Windrem. Other categories include Customer First, Skilled Trades, Immigrant Entrepreneur of the Year, and Not-for-profit, among others.
Anyone can nominate a business using the express nomination form at pkexcellence.ca. Self-nominations are encouraged. Chamber staff will follow up with nominees to collect more details.
The deadline to submit is Sunday, June 22 at 11:59 p.m. Finalists will be announced in August, with winners revealed at the awards ceremony on Wednesday, October 22 at Showplace Performance Centre.
Eligible nominees must operate within the City or County of Peterborough but do not need to be Chamber members.
