A Peterborough family in dire need of support will feel the love in a big way this Saturday night (May 10).
Four-year-old Everett Munro-Gehl was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, and is now in the midst of a difficult treatment journey alongside his parents, Brad and Elly.
Enter Peterborough Legion manager Tom Dawson, who has organized a benefit for the family, calling on a number of local musicians to help out. Among them is Georgia Rose, whose mom Teri Strain is helping spread the word about the fundraiser.
Strain says the benefit again shows the giving heart of so many, including those scheduled to perform.
Strain says Dawson has made it a habit of helping out others in their time of need.
There’s no admission fee for the 7 p.m. event but a donation jar will be in place at the door. Anyone who would like to help in any way can contact Strain via text at 705-868-4295. Donations of cash or auction items can be dropped off in advance at the Legion.
