Adjusting to post-secondary life, with all its inherent challenges, isn’t easy but, at Trent University, students have vital support in the form of its Student Wellness Centre.
Providing integrated services that address the holistic needs of students, the centre offers a full range of counselling, health and accessibility-related services.
When it comes to helping students deal with anxiety, stress and other mental health challenges, the message is simple – you are not alone, with help always available.
Centre director Julie Middleton speaks to the need for the services and support available to Trent students
Middleton says the days sink-or-swim for post-secondary students are, thankfully, long gone.
Middleton adds helping ensure students’ well-being is very rewarding work.
The Trent Student Wellness Centre is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with appointment times available, but students can access services after-hours through their colleges.
