Canadian punk legends Gob will make their debut at Del Crary Park this summer, headlining Peterborough Musicfest on Saturday, July 19 at 8 p.m.
The high-energy performance marks the band’s first-ever appearance on the Fred Anderson Stage, promising fans a nostalgic and electric night by the lake.
Known for anthems like “I Hear You Calling”, “For The Moment”, and “I’ve Been Up These Steps”, Gob rose to fame in the late ‘90s and early 2000s with their infectious blend of pop-punk. Their 2001 breakthrough album The World According to Gob earned a JUNO nomination and Gold certification in Canada.
Formed in 1993, the band features Tom Thacker, Theo Goutzinakis, Gabe Mantle and Craig Wood. Bassist Steven Fairweather later joined, helping shape their 2014 album Apt. 13, which showcased a more mature rock sound while staying true to their roots.
