Talking to residents, replying to emails and fulfilling requests for information – the final days before Monday’s federal election will be busy for Peterborough’s Green Party candidate.
That said, Jazmine Raine says they have received emails from longtime Green Party and NDP supporters who say they are voting strategically this time around, and voting Liberal instead.
Raine adds ‘everything is shifting to the right,’ resulting in ‘people acting as if a Liberal win is going to be our saviour.’
As a first-time candidate, Raine says the past few weeks have been an eye-opener.
