As spring vehicle maintenance ramps up, avoiding potholes helps lessen the chance of major damage
The change of seasons has local auto repair and maintenance shops hopping as vehicle owners prep their vehicles for spring.
At Currie Tire and Auto Service on Lansdowne Street East, that’s certainly the case.
According to Matt Currie, the switching out of winter tires to seasonal road rubber is keeping them particularly busy, and will ramp up over the weeks ahead.
Currie says winter wear-and-tear on vehicles takes its toll and, as such, spring maintenance extends well beyond just tire changes.
While road crews are working to fill potholes, Currie says drivers need to be wary and avoid potholes wherever possible to prevent any damage.
