Thousands remain without power and city crews are working hard to help those impacted by the devastating ice storm.
After calling a State of Emergency on Sunday, Peterborough Mayor Jeff Leal spoke with PTBOTODAY.ca to give the latest.
Leal says his has been touch with leaders and professionals from all across the region, including those at Queen’s Park.
It is difficult at this point to predict exactly when the power will come back for everyone, but Leal confirms when it comes to clean-up efforts – it’ll take awhile.
Emergency officials continue to stress avoiding unnecessary travel, if possible.
