Applications are now open for the 2025 Summer Company Program, an initiative designed to equip young entrepreneurs with the skills, funding and mentorship needed to turn their business ideas into reality.
Business Advisory Centre Manager Rose Terry spoke with PTBOTODAY.ca.
Terry adds the program provides successful applicants with up to $3,000 in grants, one-on-one guidance from experienced advisors and access to valuable resources.
Further to that point, Terry says the unique experience has value in a number of ways.
Entrepreneurial skills are becoming increasingly important in today’s fast-changing economy. A recent Statistics Canada report found that more than 20 per cent of Canadians aged 18-24 are interested in starting their own business, but many struggle with limited access to funding, mentorship and business resources. Programs like Summer Company help bridge that gap, providing young entrepreneurs with the tools to succeed.
Applications are open until May 16th. Interested students can find more details and apply online at www.cfpeterborough.ca. For additional information, contact Lindsey Irwin at lindsey@cfpeterborough.ca.
