Registration is now open for the Annual Ranney Gorge Run, taking place Sunday, May 4, 2025, in support of the Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH) Foundation. This year’s event will feature a 10.55K, 5K run/walk, and a 1K Fun Run for kids, with participants crossing the picturesque Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge in Ferris Provincial Park, Campbellford.
Funds raised will support patient care and the purchase of new medical equipment for CMH. Last year, nearly 400 participants helped raise over $39,000, bringing the total raised since 2018 to over $151,000. Participants are encouraged to dress as their favourite Star Wars character, as the event falls on May the 4th, a date widely celebrated as ‘Star Wars Day’ due to the pun on the iconic quote, ‘May the Force be with you.
To incentivize fundraising, participants who collect $150 or more in pledges will receive a registration refund. Additionally, thanks to the Municipality of Trent Hills, participants can use the Hastings Field House walking track for free until the event, just by showing proof of registration.
Early bird registration for the 10.55K and 5K is $40, while the 1K Fun Run is available for $10. All participants will receive a medal, t-shirt (for 10.55K and 5K runners), refreshments, and a free lunch.
