The Peterborough Folk Festival has announced the return of Miskin Law as the 2025 main stage sponsor, reinforcing the firm’s dedication to arts, culture, and community.
Murray Miskin, Counsel and Managing Director at Miskin Law, and partner Chris Goddard presented a $10,000 sponsorship cheque to festival chair Rob Davis and 2024 Emerging Artist recipient Calvin Bakelaar at a ceremony on Feb. 26.
“Miskin Law is proud to support the Peterborough Folk Festival, showcase well-known artists, promote local and emerging talent, and help bring them to the forefront,” said Miskin.
Goddard echoed the sentiment, highlighting shared values between the firm and the festival. “We are here to help and build community. Peterborough Folk Festival brings people together in a way that we value and support.”
As a volunteer-run registered charity, the festival depends on corporate sponsorships to continue its mission of making music and culture accessible to all.
“The festival deeply appreciates Miskin Law for their unwavering support and commitment to fostering a vibrant cultural scene in Peterborough,” said Davis. “Their partnership ensures the Peterborough Folk Festival continues to thrive and bring joy to our community year after year.”
The festival, known for featuring a mix of established and up-and-coming artists, remains a highlight of Peterborough’s cultural calendar.
