It would have been easy for Peterborough lacrosse legend Tim Barrie to step away from the game he loves in his later years – easy but not an option for the hall of fame inductee at the local, provincial and national levels.
As president of the Junior A Lakers and Junior C Lakers, the multiple national and provincial lacrosse champion continues to give back in a huge way to the game that has been so very good to him, and that he has always loved and championed.
Barrie says a supportive family and lessons learned in business have combined to allow him to not only stay involved with lacrosse game but also effect positive change in terms of raising the game’s profile.
Noting it takes a lot of money to finance both lacrosse clubs’ operation, one of Barrie’s duties is regularly asking his business contacts and suppliers for support.
