With the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation well on its way to achieving the $60 million goal of its Campaign for PRHC, foundation president and CEO Lesley Heighway derives her greatest joy from interacting with the many who want to see the regional hospital continue to provide cutting-edge health care.
Heighway joined the foundation team in 2008 as its manager of legacy giving. When then foundation president Julie Davis took a position with Trent University in 2011, Heighway was named her successor.
Having worked in the private sector, Heighway recalls that her decision to make the jump to the not-for-profit sector was “very purposeful.” More than a decade later, she’s as energized now as she was then, her interactions with donors a near-daily highlight.
