Members of the community who have gone above and beyond during their lives are going to be honoured with a King’s Coronation Medal.
Peterborough-Kawartha MP Michelle Ferreri has announced that 20 local residents will be honoured on March 22nd.
The medal, created to mark the coronation of King Charles III, recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service to their communities and Canada. A total of 30,000 medals will be awarded nationwide.
“These people are the heart of our communities, pouring their time, energy, and passion into making life better for those around them,” Ferreri said in a statement.
The recipients represent a range of contributions, including military service, youth advocacy, community support, and the arts.
“Their work reminds us all that the power to change lives and shape our future rests in the hands of those who are willing to step up and serve.
