It is almost time to kick-off the ReFrame Film Festival.
The 2025 event will feature more than 50 films, continuing the festival’s mandate to feature films and documentaries focused on social and environmental justice issues.
New this year is the grouping of films by festival creative director Eryn Lidster into categories that emphasize shared themes, aesthetics or origins. Festival executive director Kait Dueck touches on some of those groupings.
Dueck adds ReFrame has carved out a special place on the Peterborough cultural landscape, with this being the 21st festival.
Festivals screenings are January 23rd to 26th at both Showplace and Market Hall. Then, from January 27th to February 2nd, the festival’s virtual on-demand program will be offered online Canada-wide. Festival passes are now on sale at www.reframefilmfestival.ca with tickets for individual screenings on sale in January as available.
