One of the oldest Catholic Churches in Ontario is here in Peterborough and efforts are underway to fix up a notable piece of it.
The cross at the top of the steeple at St. Peter-in-Chains, which was damaged during the derecho storm that hit the area in 2022, has been repaired and raised by a crane to its rightful spot.
PTBOToday.ca spoke with Father Tom Lynch gave us an update.
Lynch adds this really marks an incredible milestone.
The Cathedral has been a gathering place for Peterborough Catholics for close to two centuries.
