Peterborough’s Trinity Community Centre has extended its daytime drop-in hours to provide greater support for individuals experiencing homelessness. The program is now open daily from 9am to 7pm, with lunch served at 2pm, and will continue this schedule until December 2025.
Located at 360 Reid Street, the centre also offers an overnight drop-in program from 8pm to 8am, ensuring round-the-clock access to essential services.
The extended hours were made possible following Peterborough City Council’s approval of the 2025 homelessness services funding on December 9. Funding has been allocated to One City Peterborough to operate both the daytime and overnight programs.
Previously, the daytime drop-in was open 10:30am to 5pm on weekdays and 1pm to 5pm on weekends, with extended hours during extreme weather events. The new schedule closes the gap between daytime and overnight services, providing continuous support for those in need.
