Fleming College has achieved a spot on Canada’s Top 50 Research Colleges list for 2024, earning the #31 position.
This ranking, published by Research Infosource Inc., highlights the college’s significant contributions to applied, industry-driven research and its role in Canada’s knowledge economy.
Over the 2022-2023 fiscal year, Fleming College researchers secured over $4.1 million in external research funding, supporting projects across its three specialized centres: innovative water and wastewater technologies, AI and applied machine intelligence, and sustainable aquaculture. These centres address critical Ontario priorities while driving economic growth.
“At Fleming, our applied research matters,” said President Maureen Adamson, emphasizing the real-world impact of the college’s work and the trust of funders and industry partners.
Fleming’s research initiatives also span healthcare, environmental conservation, and policing, offering students paid opportunities to gain practical skills while contributing to cutting-edge projects.
