Rob Hatfield has assumed the position of board chair of the Peterborough and the Kawarthas Home Builders Association.
The general manager of Eco Insulation Peterborough, Hatfield takes the reins from Jennifer Hurd. He says while he’s eager to put his own stamp on the non-profit organization, he’s most excited to work with a great team.
The association, says Hatfield, has an increasingly important role to play, particularly in terms of lobbying for affordable housing.
As for challenges now facing the home building industry, Hatfield says dramatically increased development fees being charged by the City of Peterborough is a big one.
