Peterborough Fire Services is inviting residents to a Community Open House at Fire Station No. 2 on Saturday.
Located at 100 Marina Boulevard, the open house will run from 10 am to noon.
Guests will have the opportunity to tour the station, meet the firefighters, and explore the building’s innovative net-zero design. The facility showcases renewable technologies such as geothermal heat pumps and rooftop solar panels, alongside intelligent energy systems and carbon-sequestering mass timber construction.
Sparky the Fire Dog will also be on hand to share fire safety tips with young visitors.
On-street parking will be available near the station, with visitors asked to follow posted restrictions.
