In an effort to brighten the holidays for seniors, the Northumberland OPP and Northumberland/Peterborough Crime Stoppers have launched the “Campbellford’s Stuff a Stocking for Seniors” campaign.
The initiative is designed to bring some joy and warmth to senior citizens living in retirement homes and nursing residences across Trent Hills.
The campaign will run until December 13th, inviting the community to donate items specifically suited for seniors. These donations will be packed into stockings and distributed to help combat the isolation many seniors feel during the festive season.
Donations can be dropped off at two local locations: the Northumberland OPP Detachment in Campbellford (20 Industrial Drive) on weekdays from 8am to 4pm, or at Campbellford Veterinary Services (176 Bridge Street West) during their regular business hours.
By filling these stockings, local residents are giving seniors a heartfelt reminder that they are cherished members of the community, offering a simple but meaningful gesture of care this holiday season.
