Peterborough’s Leslie Mann is celebrating after winning $75,000 with INSTANT CASHBOOM. The seasoned lottery player, who has been buying tickets for more than 20 years, purchased his winning ticket at Brookdale Kwik Mart on Chemong Road.
Mann played his ticket while he was still at the store and says he instantly knew he had won, adding that he was surprised and overwhelmed while being overcome with emotions.
The truck driver and father of three says he plans to use the money to help his family and also take a trip to England or Australia.
Meanwhile, Susan Maybury of Ennismore is $100,000 richer, after winning a top prize with INSTANT BLAZING BOUNTY.
This marks Maybury’s first big win, after playing games like LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49 for over 30 years.
While playing her ticket in the store, Susan realized one of her numbers matched a lucky number. She says she was so surprised that she shouted out in disbelief. After sharing the news with her husband and children, they were all thrilled about her win.
The mother and grandmother expressed her joy about the experience and plans to save her winnings for the time being.
Her winning ticket was purchased at Causeway Variety on Robinson Road in Ennismore.
