If you’re familiar with the local sporting community, the name James Johnston is one that immediately jumps off the page.
The Peterborough Minor Lacrosse Association hands out an award in his honour each year to a candidate most exemplifies his character and his love for the sport.
On Tuesday night at the banquet at Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School, James Dueck received the honour.
Dueck credits a strong support system for his success.
Officials with the PMLA say James was an integral part of both Field and Box teams and continues to enhance and improve on his skill set each and every year. They described him as a tenacious player who is well liked and respected by his teammates and coaches and love that he is always willing to lend a hand to a teammate.
