Roadwork will begin today on Goodfellow Road and Stornoway Place. The project will affect Goodfellow Road from Clonsilla Avenue to Chamberlain Street, Goodfellow Road from Sherbrooke Street to Talwood Drive, and all of Stornoway Place.
The scope of work includes the installation and adjustment of frames, covers, and grates; minor curb removals and re-installations; asphalt milling; application of an emulsified asphalt tack coat; placement of top lift asphalt; and new pavement markings.
Motorists can expect traffic lane shifts and occasional reductions to one lane in each direction during construction, while local traffic may also experience delays within the work zones. The city is reminding residents to plan for potential disruptions and follow posted detours.
The work is expected to be completed by late fall.
